Cadet 100 1st round results
The results are now in and are given below.
Scoring is done on the points dropped system. All scoring is done by outward gauging, i.e. the entire hole has to be in a ring to count as that score, and so the scores below are excellent. It is possible to drop 200 points if no shots are on the targets. The top Cadet in the country dropped 2 points.
Place overall / points dropped / Name
121st / 26 / Dyson 136th / 29 / Hawkins 143rd / 30 / Fallon 186th / 35 / Coggin
The above 4 Cadets are through to the 2nd Round. The provisional date for this is the evening of Wednesday the 15th of February.
The following Cadets scored as below.
224th / 40 / Gaydon 293rd / 51 / Knight 293rd / 51 / Smith 357th / 61 / Naseby 518th / 108 / Bilbe 535th / 113 / Lowe 597th / 132 / Kendrew
Of the 1574 Cadets who entered, 837 had targets scored and listed.
In the team section our teams scored as below.
A Team (Hawkins/Dyson/Coggin/Knight)
19th overall / 1st in the Royal Anglian section
B Team (Fallon/Bilble/Gaydon/Naseby)
38th overall / 2nd in the Royal Anglian section
306 teams were entered, of whom 106 teams had targets scored and listed.
Our two teams were the only two teams badged Royal Anglian, but our scores would have given us victory in both the previous years.
The above is an excellent result for A Company, well done to all who participated. Country Life Shoot 2012
We are now starting to train for this years shoot which will take place provisionally on the 10th of March 2012. This date is subject to the appointed witnesses availability.
We are still looking for some addtional shooters to make up the second team, see the dates page for practice shoots.
This competition has a more tactical feel to it, so it is a bit more fun. Please contact SMI Entwistle for more details.
In last years competition A Coy's Team came 14th out of the 78 teams scored in the Class B shoot with a score of 267, that's an improvement of one place over the previous year. We were also the 2nd best ACF team in the Class B shoot. We were in equal 9th place at the end of the 3rd detail (the Snap), so this years top priority will be to work on our "Target Indication" skills for the 4th detail (the Landscape target). However 14th was still an excellent result.
Walter Kirke (formally the News of the World) update
The first round scores are in!!!!
Salamanca therefore wins the Inter Detachment shoot. Well done.
85 teams entered the competition, of which 46 were scored. Had Talavera had a 4th shooter scoring at the same average then they could have easily been first, if you are not in you can’t win!!!! Under the rules in force the top 50% go through to the second round, so all of the teams above go into the second round.
The date for this is provisionally Saturday the 5th of February. CCRS Website
Anyone wishing to view the full results of any of the above competitions, please go to CCRS website as listed further down this page, then go to the competition page, then the Smallbore .22 tab and finally to the icon for the appropriate competition where you will find a full list of the results from this year.

Future Shoots
Could all D.C.s and Adults please make sure that any Cadets sent for testing on shooting are trained, practiced and have carried out a WHT on the No8 and that Marksmanship Principles have been taught to the Cadet concerned. Please do this as the full run of proper lessons and make the Cadets practice dry drills as much as possible prior to attendance at the Range to give them the best chance of passing (with the minimum of ammo expenditure!!!!!).
