Annual Camp Blog 2009...

Hi everyone... As you know we are off to Annual Camp at Castlemartin Camp in South Wales on Saturday the 8th of August and subject to there being a data signal somewhere on the camp we will be writing a short blog each day and uploading a couple of photos to this page of the web site... 

Check here daily and you can find out what's been going on or catch a picture of a friend or relative taking part in one of our exciting activities!

Well after an exciting day on the Ranges and Coasteering yesterday it is time for the final practice day before the exercise and we are running a number approximately 20 different activities for the cadets...
 
 
Looks like it was all too much for somebody...

The Range Day... And we will be running a number of activities including shooting on the Cadet GP Rifle, The Light Support Weapon, The Cadet Target Rifle, Shotguns, Air Rifles and Paintballs... And 30 Cadets will be off coasteering in the sea...

Its a bright morning here at Castle Martin, and we are off to a flying start with the cadets up and early for breakfast... more pictures to follow today of the activities that are taking place, so keep an eye on the web page and we will try and publish them through the day...
 
A great day being had by all with some exciting activities taking place...
 

Saturday 8th - Day 1

Its Day One of annual camp 2009... 1300Hrs
 
The kit is here, the HQ is here and the Cadets are all on their way. We are ready and raring to go, but an accident on the road somewhere short of here has delayed the cadets arriving...
 
The Coaches have finally arrived, and the cadets have descended upon us... The challenge now is to get everybody into a room
 
    
 
2200Hrs and the first day is done, 154 cadets arrived and are billeted and briefed for the first days training tomorrow. 
 
57 going to the water for sailing, canoeing and Kayaking with the rest of the cadets doing Archery, Rock Climbing, Coastal walks, Mountain Biking and MTA Command Tasks.
